aaaand it sucks
have you ever had one? i am 24 so kinda young to get one but I guess I was tryna lift way too much. Did you get surgery on yours? Should I? It's been giving me terrible sciatica and we're on week 11 of pain now.

I had a herniated L4/5 that I had surgery on. The 2 surrounding it are still bulging so I have to be careful with my back. I lived in pain for just over a year. After having to lay on the floor all day on Christmas when my kids were little I decided to have the surgery. I wish I had done it sooner. But everyone’s case is different so explore your options. The only thing I never tried was acupuncture. Good luck!0

It depends.
Overall, physical therapy is the single best way to deal with herniated discs.
However, individual cases require individual treatments. Most surgeons aren't interested in operating just do to pain. I was told not to come back unless I was dragging a foot or unable to pee. How your range of motion? Any nerve damage? What does your specialist say?0
