Hi, I joined at the end of February, I think, I’ve been keeping my diary up to date so I don’t forget. What amazed me right at the beginning was how fast food adds up. I never really gave it much thought because I figured if I stayed moving it didn’t matter what I ate. I was very, very wrong! So now I have more than 100 lbs to lose and have zero support at the homefront so any support to stop me from giving in to all the junk the rest of the family drags into the house would be appreciated. My biggest problem is that hubby cooks dinner. I do breakfast and lunch but by day’s end I’m spent so he takes over. I’m a double amputee in a wheelchair after eight surgeries in the last eighteen months. I’ve figured out how to input my seated workouts and found an app that counts my handcycle and wheelchair use. I recently got some new prosthetics so I’ve been counting my ‘walking with crutches’ exercises too. I’ve been doing the surgery, wheelchair, and crutch thing for about forty-five years but this time the recovery is much slower and my energy much lower. I’m really hoping that by joining this community I can keep being accountable to myself, continue trying the new recipes, and find a new support system. I’m considering a marathon trike ride in September so I do have a goal aside from major weight loss. I look forward to this challenge with all of you!
