Hello,
My name is Joshua. I’ve been wanting to lose weight for a while now. About three years ago I was maintaining a healthy weight of 180lbs but sunk into a pretty deep depression and gained around 100lbs in less than a year. I haven’t gained any weight since reaching 280lbs but I also haven’t lost any weight. I had a big problem with energy drinks, I was drinking nearly 4 a day at my worst (sometimes more). I’ve substituted energy drinks for black coffee. Not as tasty but I find the coffee makes me more focused and gives me more energy when I’m at work. I think another reason for the weight gain is I went from working on my feet 8-12 hours a day to working in an office. I’ve been slowly introducing positive changes to my life as I want to lose as much weight as I can while maintaining healthy lifestyle. Losing 1lbs a week would be ideal but I can settle for half a pound. The wedding won’t be for another 2+ years. I am not entirely sure why I can’t lose weight anymore. My fiancée is five foot three and eats more than me and barely weighs 100 lbs. My doctor suspects I may have underlying medical condition that, on top of my poor lifestyle choices, accounts for my problems with weight loss. Prior to creating the account I was keeping a good diary and for the past couple of months I’ve been eating 1600-2000 calories a day with no success in losing weight. I’ve been using a scale to measure my portions, so I’m fairly confident in the accuracy of my dairy. Hopefully, I will eventually start to see some change. For now I will continue to make Small positive changes to my lifestyle.
