Are there any fitness trackers that can track calories burned from swimming?

    I like my garmin vivosmart hr. There are other, more expensive, trackers that cater to swimming better, just depends on your budget.

    This will be my first fitness tracker. I'm thinking $150 or less.

    Really, you're looking at either Garmin or Misfit. There are others, but none as good. You could get a refurb or NOS(New old Stock) garmin Vivoactive 1 for ABOUT $100.

    Garmin sounds like it'll be your best bet. I just did a cursory search and it seems like there are more options now from when I bought my vivosmart HR 3 years ago (I still use it, btw, it's great).

    I've been very happy with my Apple Watch -- Series 2 and 3 are waterproof. But definitely not matching the price point that you're looking for.
