Do you weigh in after having a cold

I had a cold this week starting on Monday and finally am free of symptoms today (Friday). I still counted calories and ate healthy. I did medium intensity workouts and drank lots of fluids hoping that being sick this week wouldn’t affect my weigh in (which I know it still probably did but I tried to still stick with my routine).

But just curious, does anyone still do their usual weigh in after being sick (in my case i weigh in weekly).

    I don't know why you wouldn't?

If I'm in a phase when I am weighing regularly, I weigh no matter what. If you are a person who gets freaked out by fluctuations, it might not work for you. But, in general, I think that weighing no matter what is a good way to become inured to weight fluctuations and learn what kinds of things may affect your weight and when such fluctuations have a tendency to happen.

If you weigh weekly you will eventually have to deal with the scale fluctuating up regardless of sickness, activity, or calories consumed.

I weigh in Monday-Friday, and do so when sick. Weighing in has become part of my weekday routine, whereas on weekends, my routine is very relaxed and I usually forget.

I weigh every week no matter what. I don't get upset if the scale doesn't go down every week.
If you are going to get upset maybe wait a week after your recovery to weigh yourself.

Your scale weight goes up and down all the time.
    Your weight trend moves slower.

You can keep to your caloric goals and NOT see them reflected on a particular weight in, whereas they would have been reflected had you weighed in a few days earlier or later.

Using a weight trend application or web site is highly recommended if you have trouble coping with the randomness of individual weight ins.
