Newbie looking for best healthy food plan

Hi,
I would like help finding a good healthy eating plan, I have to admit to being confused on what to eat and what not to eat, I had a banana this morning then I saw a banner on the internet saying not to touch bananas!
I have done all the main stream diets, Atkins, Weight watchers etc....
If any of you can point me in the right direction of a plan that worked for you I would appreciate it, I think I have probably cut out foods that I should have been eating and not getting the balance right.
