On my Goals page, under Fitness, for "Calories Burned / Week" the value is set at "610". That seems awfully low for the 7 workouts that I set it for each week. No matter what I change it to, when I go back to the page, it is right back at "610"!

I have tried doing a search for that field, but I can't find anything that tells me how that number is determined. Maybe using "Calories Burned / Week" is the wrong search term?

Can someone please explain?

As far as I can tell, this is irrelevant. What you'll do on MFP is log your actual exercise as it happens and that is what MFP counts for your exercise -- not this value. I just ignore that pre-populated number. It doesn't influence your calorie goal -- your calorie goal is determined by the combination of your personal stats, your goal for weight loss per week, and the activity level that you choose.

Its set based on some calculation between your described activity level and your weight loss goal. I got mine to jump around by changing to/from active/sedentary and 1-2 lbs per week.

Another vote for "don't worry about it". The only thing it affects is the part of the exercise diary where it shows you the number of calories of actual exercise you've done for the week compared to the target level. It doesn't affect your eating calorie goal in any way.
