Strava overestimating burnt calories?

So I went for a 7 miles run this morning and Strava estimated 970 burnt calories! Seems quite high for me, but I'm a newbie here and never paid attention to these before. I'm sure Straca has all my details up to date (esp weight)...
Any ideas?

Calories burnt by running can be roughly estimated by the following equation:

    Weight (lbs) x Distance (miles) x 0.63

I just went and reduced the number manually, feels better now. Thank you!

I find Strava always overestimates them for my runs despite my Garmin being very, very close to the Runners World formula.

It's pretty crazy. Garmin logs my run-Passes the run data to strava and Poof 2x calories. And yeah, the Garmin number is within the margin of error of calculation with the RW formula.
