I am getting so so so so upset. I am training so hard, keeping up with my 1300kcal diet and I'm shaping up but my god am I bloated!!! Not only am I bloated I am also gassy, it's really getting my down again, I'm doing everything I can. The only thing I can think of is that I have upped my protein (not through shakes as ive stopped) just through chicken, eggs etc.. please is this the only reason? Its driving me nuts !!!!!! :s:'(

The eggs might be contributing to the gas more so than the meats.
I find certain meats make me bloat, like pork.
    Are you overdoing the protein?

How much protein are you consuming? What have you adjusted in carbs/fats/fiber to fit in more protein and how long has it been? Added a new/different protein source not eating before? Have any intolerance?

I noticed another thread where you had this before, what did you do remedy that in the past?

I haven't found any remedy for it im afraid. I'm on 130g protein 120g carbs and 50g fat. I'm 5ft 2 and I weigh 55kgs. It's been nearly 4 weeks since upping my protein. Don't know of any intolerances at the momment but should do a test I think it would be nice to know what i am actually Intolerant too. X

Protein can slow the bowels so food is resident longer.

Basically it's poop. Which would also explain the gas.

I go to the toilet around 2 to 3 x a day how much poop do I have in me lol ?

Too much protein can cause dehydration and constipation issues (slow bowels).

Both too much protein and too much fat can slow down digestion which can cause constipation. Slows stomach emptying and the bowel transmit times. Too much insoluble fiber can also cause these issues. Dehydration can also cause digestion issues.

You may want to dial back on some of your macros. It really is about all things in moderation. You can get too much of a good thing.
