Struggling to lose the weight

So I recently gained 20 pounds. I was on the Mirena birth control and after removing it I gained those 20 pounds. No change in diet at all but I’ve been monitoring my calories and working out everyday but the scale seems to be moving up and not down. I’ve weighed out everything. I did notice I lost an inch but my scale went up. I’m just confused

Your weight can only go up if you add mass to your body--water and food. I suspect you have some extra water on board because of your hormones and exercise (just a layman's guess). You might also be eating a bit more than you realize--it happens to everyone. Get out the food scale and use high precision food measurements for a couple days to see. A loss in circumference is a good sign.0
