Does lifting causing muscle soreness burns more calories?

For example when lifting, there Is a soreness effect, (DOMS). Just wanted to know when the body repairs the muscle tissues over the next day or two, are calories being burnt to heal the muscles?
Also, does more soreness means more repair required thus more calories burnt?
confused.

    Unfortunately no

Also to add.. in some cases if you are that sore that it impairs your movement, it can affect your other daily non-exercise activities which can actually lower your total calories burnt.

Not really. There are studies that indicate muscle repair burns calories, but the amounts are so low that it's not worth it (we're talking less than a 1% increase).

There are additional calories expended for repair of tissues that have been broken down...this is called epoc, but it is fairly nominal. Being sore is simply a matter of working muscles that aren't used to working. You don't have a greater epoc effect being sore...the same damage is done whether you have DOMs or not...DOMs just indicates that you're doing something your body isn't used to.
