First day and first bulletproof coffee. Wow...mct oil has lots of carbs!! Added 1 tablespoon of the oil and BOOM only 7 carbs left for the day. Might be impossible to get in the rest of my macros today without exceeding the carbs.

Are you sure you picked an accurate database entry? The MCT oil I've seen is just fat, no carbohydrates in it.3

Yeah it can’t be an accurate entry, not just because the T is MCT is triglycerides (fat), but also because I don’t think a tablespoon of anything would represent a significant portion of daily carbs unless you were on some crazy low carb keto plan. A tablespoon of pure high fructose corn syrup only has 16g carbs. Table sugar has 13. There just isn’t enough physical mass in a tablespoon (unless the liquid was dense like gold) to hold that many grams of anything, let alone carbs.4 -

MCT oil is fat...nothing but fat...there are no carbs. You chose an erroneous entry.2 -
I have never understood BPC coffee. Empty calories and way too much fat for a drink. If you aren’t hitting your fat macro then I believe you should eat more nutritious fats throughout the day.5

And if you do a little research into Dave Asprey (the guy who peddles that stuff), he’s quite the snake oil salesman, with some very strange ideas. Sorta reminds me of David Avocado Wolfe.5 -
WHY???? Bulletproof coffee supplies 441 calories with 0 grams of carbs and and 51 grams of fat (80% of which are saturated).
A chicken nugget Happy meal with water/diet soda and apple slices has about 405 calories. It's pretty bad when McDonald's is the better choice. (Which happened to be my lunch today).1
