Laparoscopic fibroid surgery

Hi Ladies,
I am scheduled for a laparoscopic myomectomy next week. I do not know anyone who has had this surgery before. I would appreciate it if anyone who has had a surgery can share their experience. I am particularly interested in knowing if it affected your weight in anyway.
Thanks,
Neha

I had this done. It wasn’t bad at all. I put on some water weight after the surgery, but everything was back to normal within a couple weeks.0

I had laparoscopic gall bladder surgery during weight loss. As suggested above, I retained some water weight for a week or two while healing, but that's about it.
Your doctor will probably limit your exercise for a few weeks. (Mine said walking was OK, but not much else, initially.)
I highly recommend that you eat at or near maintenance calories while healing - say, 3-4 weeks, at least. I kept my calorie deficit after surgery, and it was a Bad Plan. Fortunately, I healed OK, but got weak and fatigued, then took a few weeks to fully recover. Put healing first on your priority list, would be my advice.1
