Hi all.
Just wondering why MFP doesn't assign kj burned due to weight training like it does for cardio training?
Is it because it's more highly variable?

It is more highly variable, and the calorie burns associated with it are often overestimated. But if you log it in the cardio section under "Strength Training (weight lifting, weight training)", MFP will assign a calorie/Kj figure to it.

Variable depending on the type and intensity of the exercise, yes. It depends on how much you weigh, how much you're lifting, how intensely you work, how long a break you take between sets, what kind of strength training you're actually doing, etc. FWIW, the cardio section has entries for strength training that you can use, but these will be just ballpark estimates.
