Syncing with Pacer

Been trying to post message so this might be a repeat. I'm using MFP with Pacer on iPhone 8plus. When my steps are tracked on pacer, it shows up as exercise in MFP . In diary it shows goal allowance in calories minus food minus exercise =remaining calories. I would like to sync with Pacer and in MFP show
Goal allowance in calories, minus food as I input food eaten into MFP plus the calories ( converted from steps tracked with Pacer ) to show how many calories I have left for rest of 24 hour period. I have been on MFP website and logged into settings and have ticked box to show negative calories, not sure if this is the correct or do I leave it as positive calories.
All I'm trying to do is add the calories from my steps to my MFP daily allowance. I have NOT got the premium paid for version of either app.
Any help would be much appreciated.

yes, disabling negative calorie adjustments should have fixed the issue for you0
