Getting back to good

Hey all. I was very active here about two years ago and was very successful. I was 8 lbs from my goal weight and I became pregnant. Between pregnancy and breastfeeding I've struggled to get back to good eating habits but I'm so ready to commit again as I begin to wean my daughter. Many of my friends on here are now inactive so I need to find a few people who are committed and ready to engage. Let's keep each other accountable and encourage each other. My style of eating is no sugar or flour and this works well for me. I'm also training to run a half marathon, at least trying! I can do a slow 5k currently. Tell me about yourself!

    Good afternoon! Well, in my neck of the woods (Winston-Salem, NC). I follow the Ketogenic Lifestyle due to high A1C but am super active. Not all that long ago I used to run 13 miles four or five times a week (in 75 minutes....give or take a few seconds) but have not done that for four or five years. I am a friend of the gym....any gym! I love my training sessions! I get 'hangry' when I can not go to the gym. I work in IT but my passion is in Fitness. I am 51, divorced, moved down to Winston-Salem, NC from Salem, VA four years ago and love anything on the water. I was super active here in MFP but stopped for about six months (long story) but am back (as of about one week ago). Welcome to MFP!

    Hi and welcome! I’ve struggled for years with my weight and now that I have my wedding coming in September I decided that’s it! I’m focusing on Whole foods and a friend introduced me to all natural supplements that are doing wonders for my appetite and my energy!! So far 8 pounds in 8 days so I’m looking forward to seeing that scale move down, down, down :)
