Query about recomp?

Been doing a bit of reading about recomp, first rule seems to be slight surplus on training days, deficit on rest days. Now my issue is I do PPL 6 days per week. So how would I get around that? Just 1 day in a deficit seems pointless.

Recomp is just training and your body changing over time because of that training. We used to call it getting in shape.12

You don't need to be a deficit any day of the week.0

This ^ while at maintenance calorie wise overall. Whether you do surplus on training days and deficit on others or just maintenance eating overall makes little difference.0 -
No you don't need to calorie cycle or eat at a surplus on training days.
That's normally stated by people with a program to sell or badly misguided ideas about physiology.
You do realise that people gain muscle / lose fat without calorie counting?
It's what people have been doing for generations.1
