Lifting/strength success story

I lost basically two years of working out to Epstein-Barr Virus. For those who haven't heard of it, it's the virus that causes mono, only it's much worse than mono when it reactivates.
I lost essentially all my definition from five years of lifting while I was sick. Finally healthy enough to lift weights again, I'm thrilled with the progress (January 2018 to now). In fact, my arms have never been that size before. It's likely the result of letting my body rest, something I did not do during four years of two-a-day workouts (2.5 hours per day). That likely activated the virus.
Part of the point here is to never give up. Your body, if you treat it well, can do amazing things, including bouncing back from a vicious illness. Happy Friday.
