Hi everyone,
I very recently started gradually making my way into exercising again. I always lose motivation and need people to help keep me accountable and motivate me. Feel free to add me!

I find that motivation is a lot like battle plans--out the window after the first skirmish! I look at exercise kind of like I look at brushing my teeth and paying my bills. It just needs to be done, whether I feel like it or not. I enjoy the benefits of improving my strength and fitness in the same way I enjoy the benefits of having healthy teeth and electricity. It also helps that the vast majority of the time, the major obstacle is just getting to the gym. Once I'm there, I get into the groove and usually end up enjoying myself.

I stay accountable by paying for trainer sessions and by having gym friends that miss me when I'm gone. The second part seems to be the biggest hurdle for a lot of forum folks. I work out super early though, so it's generally the same faces and we've all gotten to know each other to some degree.

I'd just try focusing on discipline rather than motivation, and reaching out to potential friends and workout buddies wherever you exercise--it's made a huge difference for me!
