Today is day 5 for me on my life journey. And I have been having major cravings. But instead I think of what I want later on just not right now. After two kids and always being on the over weight wide I want ABS so even though I am having cravings for French fries today... Potatoes will always be around when I reach my goal. Reading some posts have encouraged me and this app is so helpful because I check for a food to see if I can even afford to it eat it and once I see that I can’t have something I have been craving, I don’t even bother to go in the store looking at it in disappointment. Good luck to everyone we all got this. When you want something you get I’ll go get it!!!! Go get it!!!

I had a cupcake yesterday. I calculated it with my goals and actually didn't go over. The key is portion and management. I wanted the cupcake so I made room for it in my "food money budget". Instead of getting the super delicious blueberry quinoa cup that I normally get, I opted for "lean and green": grilled chicken and steamed broccoli.

The upside? Careful planning, I was able to eat fries at dinner too and the end goal being I didn't go over my allottment for the day.

That cupcake was so worth it. SO WORTH IT.

    So were the fries.

And I'm still on a 1.5-2lb trajectory (it's slowing down as I make it towards my goal).

You don't need to put off learning how to eat the things you crave like French fries for too long. It is important to know how to eat them now and within a calorie budget so that when you get to your goal weight you will have the tools to stay there and not gain weight back. The calories in French fries can't hurt you any more than the calories in a chicken breast.

You really should learn how to fit foods you like, such as french fries, into your daily, weekly, bi-weekly or even monthly eating plan. "Waiting" for meeting your goal is setting yourself up for failure. This is a lifetime change. Not "I'll go back to how I used to eat when I reach goal". Best to you on your weight loss endeavour.
