Any easy tips and tricks, I mean simple things that can really help like drinking green tea or choosing a set time to go the gym every time.

1) Buy and use a food scale. Log accurately and honestly. You can lie to your food diary all you want to, but your body knows the truth.
2) Make changes that are sustainable for you in the long term. People who make radical, sweeping changes and try to "white knuckle" it rarely succeed.
3) Form good habits. You'll stick to them long after the initial motivation wears off.
4) Perseverance. Trust the process. If you fall down, pick yourself up and keep going.
5) Patience. You didn't gain the weight overnight, you won't lose the weight overnight.
6) Don't make 'perfect' the enemy of 'good'. Don't waste time majoring in the minors. To paraphrase Eric Helms, "It's better to do something that's 65% optimal 90% of the time than it is to do something that's 90% optimal 65% of the time".
7) Don't waste your time and money on gimmicks like "diet tea", "fat burners", "metabolism boosters", "cleanses/detoxes", etc. The diet industry is a multi-billion dollar profit machine, built mostly upon hype, lies and scams. A good rule to remember for diet 'supplements' - If it works, it isn't legal; if it's legal, it doesn't work. All you need to do to lose weight is consume less calories than you expend. Period.5 -
Scan and plan. I'll enter my kitchen with a meal plan in mind but scan, add and delete interchangeable ingredients to make the best version of the meal I can make to fit with my number goals. It becomes a bit of a fun game to me because it helps me get creative with my ingredients and shopping more!0
