Best suggestion on a website for weight loss/calories

Asking the experts! Which is the best website which gives you info on how many calories should I be eating? Is there a calculator here in MFP? I may be missing it!
When I google and go to 5 different sites, each site says a different number.
I'm 5'2"
Weight: 150
Goal weight: 125
Activity: moderate
Any advice?

MFP has one. Try it first.

Just go to MFP and set up your profile with your info, stats, and select 0.5-1 lbs/ week rate of loss. It will provide you a NEAT calorie target meaning daily activity is factored in but not exercise. When you exercises log and eat back those calories. Using a food scale for accuracy will help as well.

I’m similar stats and started about the same weight as you - I lost most of my weight eating 1400 NET cals so 1600-1800 total, using a FitBit synced with MFP for activity tracking for the last 20 lbs or so. I’m currently maintaining at 118 for the last several years, I average about 12-15 K steps/day and do light circuit training a few times a week.

Thank you! MFP says 1470 calories per day to lose a pound a week. Rolling with that number. Hopefully, it's what will get the weight off. Eating too few calories at 1200 I guess! Thanks for your help!!!

I’ve had far better results coming from www.jimstoppani.com. He doesn’t tell you how many calories you need to eat because that is based on the individual and how much you are currently eating but it ends up being more than you thought. He gives you the diet plan free. His whole exercise program is based on that diet plan. I used to eat about 1,200 calories a day. After joining the Jym Army (that’s what he calls his followers), I’m eating around 1,900 calories and have lost 3 pant sizes in about 3 months. Here’s the free diet plan if you are interested https://www.jimstoppani.com/home/featured-meal-plans/dieting-101

For clarification, had you already started by eating 1200 calories per day and were not losing weight?

Your age will also have something to do with it too. I have to eat 300 calories less at 60 than I would at 25.

All of them. Because they are ALL just estimates and starting points. You will have to adjust based on your personal results over time.
