So what is the real deal with Chinese?

HI Everyone......I love to get Chinese takeout about once a month or so and I always order the same thing.....Chicken and Broccoli with White Rice.

I keep seeing all kinds of different measurements/calorie values ....etc. I always seem to have something different logged each time I have it.

I measure 2 cups of the the Chicken and Broccoli and 1 tightly packed cup of white rice. I have gotten anywhere between 550-720 calories each time I try and log it.

Any idea what the real values should be or guidelines you all use? Thanks in advance for the help! :drinker:

Bump. Curious to see the answers to this. I have the same issue when logging Chinese foods.

No one is going to be able to tell exactly how many calories it has because it depends on how it's cooked, how fatty the chicken is, what it's cooked in, etc... the white rice should be pretty standard, but the chicken and broccoli is a big mystery! Enjoy it!

When I log Chinese, I picked out the "Middle of the Road" and I saved them all to a meal, so i can use the same ones going forward. Sometimes it seams that they include the "whole meal" on the entries, sometimes it is just the stuff. Since my Chicken and Broccolli at the resturant i eat at is More Broccolli than Chicken and the Sauce is not heavy I feel safe.
