I know how you feel when I started out about 3 years ago I weighed 280 lb and now I'm down to 218 lb. I have reached this weight only through diet I've only been working out for about two two and a half weeks now. The diet that I went with was a ketosis diet so I came to the conclusion that after a few weeks of research that that would be the best diet for me based on a few of the conditions that I have. I have Crohn's disease. So that kind of restrict some of the foods that I can eat and it also affects my mind and body as far as motivation is concerned and pain. So I'm sure that if you just do the research and look at diets that are out there and say oh that one sounds good for me and as long as you stick with it you're going to do just fine it's never too late. It all comes down to at least for me keeping yourself motivated and finding things that motivate you. I listen to a lot of podcasts not share information and bring up interesting topics. But that doesn't work for everyone I do believe that all people are very similar but very different at the same time so we have to find the unique little things that work for us. Feel free to add me if you ever need somebody to talk to or if you would like information sources on various diet types I've looked into paleo carnivore vegan vegetarian pescatarian. As well as ketosis I do a pretty modified ketosis intake about a hundred grams of carbohydrates a day and then I just try to make sure that I get clean sources of vegetables proteins and fats and I try to get proteins and fats that are attached to each other so protein sources that we would normally consider fatty foods and then I at the same time keep my caloric intake restricted below how much I burn everyday.
