Hi all

I have been on and off MFP since 2011. I am currently 318.5lbs, the highest I have been for about 15 years and restarted on wednesday. I am 39 years old and based in the UK. I have recently returned from a lovely holiday in Florida, but was heartbroken to be unable to ride both the Harry Potter rides at Universal due to being unable to get the restraints down - this was once I was on the ride, so also embarrassed! This along with the difficulty I had with retaining water in my legs and the walking have made me determined to lose weight and get fitter.

I would love friends who are around the 300lb mark (or started there) so that we can hopefully help each other to reach our goals. Please feel free to add me.

I'm around 215lbs not really close to your weight but I wanted to say I know exactly how you feel about how embarrassing it is on rides. Last year I barely fit in to 2 of the rides and i almost gave up with one of the straps barely shutting for me. It was embarrassing but managed to get it to click. The other ride it blood hurt as the bar squished my tummy flab and it was embarrassing as I had to tell the guy it was painful but he didn't stop the ride to let me out. So I had to sit on it so uncomfortably in pain. I need to lose so much weight :/

I had to get off 2 rides a month ago when I went a fair ground because the bars wouldn't fit me! And one of the rides he kept checking me over and over again, it took like 15 minutes and everyone was watching. So mortifying. So I can relate to both you and the original poster. Feel free to add me, I have over 86 pounds to lose.
