Food pushers!

Any good suggestions on how to deal with food pushers, bullies, saboteurs?
I’m trying really hard to stay within my daily calorie allowance and then come the food pushers.
One neighbour won’t take no thank you when she invites me for dinner. Her meals are very high calorie and high fat which I have to watch big time with my last lab results being poor.
My partner is another one that is just meal and potatoes guy that isn’t flexible.
And the list goes on....
What’s a graceful way or not so graceful way to get it to stop. It’s hard enough eating to get my health back without dealing with these saboteurs.

Tell your neighbour that your blood results show you have a problem and your doctor wants you to eat lighter foods that will not exacerbate the problem e.g., no cream, cheese, buttery sauces or fried foods etc etc. You can of course eat whatever you like within your calorie target but making catering for you a bit more difficult and dealing with a 'medically necessary diet may discourage too many invitations. I would not mention weight loss, red rag to a bull for some friends. As for your partner, you can either cook separate meals (I do occasionally as he likes different things to me) or cook his meat and potatoes and eat much smaller portions bulked out with lots of veg.See if he will accept one adventurous meal each week/fortnight.4

You have a real problem, and i can sympathize. i have found changing my life patterns has helped. So, not being around at your typical times..coming home an hour later from work.. going to bed early. Any tiny thing yu can think of to disrupt the pattern of your life..so these disruptors are thrown off. These things..sound silly..but it interrupts your typical pattern..and these destructive yet loving people are lost in the shuffle.1
