Gaining weight too fast

I've been bulking for about a month now, eating just over 3000cals a day (P:30%, C: 45%, F:25%) and I've gone from 84.5kg @ 7% bodyfat, to about 88kg (not sure about my bodyfat at the moment). Am I gaining weight too fast?

Did you go from cutting straight to bulking, or did you spend some time at maintenance? Keep in mind when you increase the calories the scale tends to jump up the first few weeks due to more food in your body, more carbs which leads to more water, also your muscles will hold on to more water especially if you have increased your workout volume.
If you used MFP or a calculator for your intake based on your stats, and you are tracking accurately but the scale keeps increasing each week, you may want to dial the calories back since the calculators are only an estimate and you have to adjust based on actual results. Over time I would say you want to gain no more than 0.45kg/1lb per week to keep fat gains at bay.3 -
Thanks for the advice, I actually did go directly from a cut to a bulk, which I presume is bad... I'll keep a closer eye on my intake and adjust accordingly1
