Back at it again after gallbladder surgery

Hello looking for motivation. I had my gallbladder removed in March and now on a Strict diet of no dairy no gluten no high fat food. Looking to lose 75 lbs. I also joined a challenge at my gym to keep me motivated. Look forward to getting to know people and walk this journey together

Why the strict diet? I've had my gallbladder removed and made no changes to my diet whatsoever. Obviously different people have different experiences, I'm just wondering why you need to avoid gluten and high fat foods (is it because they make you feel unwell or did someone tell you to?)

I'm also curious about this. I've read conflicting things about what you can eat after gallbladder surgery -- from you can eat anything to exactly what you're doing, no dairy or high fat foods. Can't remember anything about gluten off hand. I still have my gallbladder but I have a pretty large gallstone, and I'm trying to avoid surgery (the stone doesn't bother me at all). Also wondering if anyone tried anything to shrink any stones that you had prior to surgery? And regarding motivation -- YOU CAN DO IT!!! What has helped me is doing some form of exercise everyday. Doesn't matter what it is, just move your body. I found after a few days it sort of became a habit, but I also started feeling better, and I wanted to do it, whereas before it was a chore. The other thing I did was take baby steps, making little changes every so often rather than something big overnight. Find what works for you and stick to it, one day at a time! ;-)
