Losing 100 + pounds is a good start for me - currently 158 kg, 348 pounds. I have been trying strict keto when I started to lose weight some 60 days ago - but since I am in for the loooong haul, 15 % carbs, 45 % fat and 40 % protein seems to be the most sustainable for me so far. I would not call that keto, but I record everything on MFP and so far this macro mix is working for me.

I am looking to lose 100+. I am not going totally keto but definitely low carb. My body responds really well to it. I just started today :)

Hi I started in April and have lost 28 with another 90ish to go! I eat about as many cals daily as the TDEE of my goal weight set to sedentary. I do beginner work outs by doing cize at home (1/2 hour dance aerobics like Zumba) and strength training with light handheld weights. I’d like to join a gym once I reach 50 pounds as a reward:) I’ve lost 20 lbs more times than I can count and gained it back plus more, every time, because any sort of plan or timeline that’s too restrictive doesn’t stick with me, and I have *kitten* willpower.
This time around I’m taking it slow and however long it takes me to reach my goal will be ok- no “by this date, I will be xx pounds” if I can help myself. I eat a lot of healthy stuff and on weekends I still let myself live and enjoy beer, occasional sushi or pizza, and the next day I get right back to it. I’m trying to change my entire mindset this time around.
I feed my kids healthy, and during the day the food I eat hasn’t changed too much from before- just more aware of portions by far, eating less simple carbs/cheese, and going hard Sunday-Friday. My biggest reason for weight gain was nighttime binging/snacking, which I have avoided like the plague almost every night since I started. I force myself to go to bed earlier and read vs watching tv til 2/3 am.
My diary is open so if you’d like to be friends we can get meal inspo from each other! I love seeing what other people are makin for dinner lol!
