Hi I was wondering what is everyone's favorite ways to cook meat that's not pricey. There's a meat market where I can get a 8oz t bone for $4 so I make that pretty often. I also buy beef tips and bake chicken wingettes a lot so some new ways to make those would be nice. Also things to do with ground beef. Thanks everyone

I looove curries. This site has great recipes without crazy-long ingredient lists: https://twosleevers.com/recipe-index/
I make a lot of curries in my Instant Pot, but there's no reason you could make them in a Dutch oven or on stovetop if you like.
Another recipe website I love is Serious Eats: https://seriouseats.com1 -

I make fajitas with any meat on sale. Pork, chicken, beef, seafood all are good. Fajita seasoning, skip the oil, onions, peppers, tomatoes, lime juice, sour cream, salsa, etc... Eat with tortillas, or plain in a bowl, or over any grain seasoned with some cumin and tomato, or on sandwich flats etc...0

Buy yourself a pantry of spices and google ways to use each one. You can make your own seasoning instead of buying the package seasoning for almost anything.0

Penzey's makes delicious spices and blends... definitely recommend them!0 -
Thin slice or cube and saute. A well stocked spice drawer, built up over time that *kitten*'s expensive, is your friend. Some profiles I use a lot:
Lemon pepper
Lemon garlic
Lime and chili
Buffalo
BBQ
Tomato (fresh, canned, paste), paprika, add oregano and onion and you have a bolognese type mix
Yoghurt or lemon and "greek seasoning"
Salsa
Chili mix (garlic, onion, chili, pepper, cayenne, oregano cumin etc)
Some combo of at least two of: soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, garlic, ginger, gochujang, kimchi1 -
Steak I put salt on. Let it sit for 3 mins. Apply fresh ground pepper. Then throw it on the grill. Good meat is great with just that.1

T-Bone? Salt & Pepper.
Now, if your talking skirt steak I might make an Orange Juice marinade with garlic, pepper, and cumin and make some tacos.1 -
For steaks in particular, I always salt well on both sides and then let sit on the counter until room temperature. Sometimes I add additional seasonings prior to cooking, I'm fond of the Coffee Rub from Trader Joes and think it tastes great on steak. Now, I personally eat my steaks rare so I just throw them on the grill to sear each side, but my husband prefers a medium well, so I always cook his steaks using the reverse searing method, it really saves the juices and the steak doesn't get dried out.
I like to make Picadillo with ground meat, and of course, my other go-to's are meatballs, chili, meatloaf.
For tougher cuts of beef, I prefer to do a marinade with an acidic ingredient to help start to break down the fibers. I try to marinate for at least 24 hours before cooking. My Instant Pot is also a godsend cooking stews super fast but still rendering the meat palatable.0 -
Ground beef rice bowls , not really Korean. Add veggies https://therecipecritic.com/korean-ground-beef-rice-bowls/
Instant pot salsa chicken (sure you could bake this as well )0 -
Chicken thighs or whole chicken is usually the cheapest meat. It is fine whole in several recipies but I can also cook a bunch of chicken and take all the meat off the bones. I bag it up and put it in the freezer for adding to things like soups, casseroles, sandwiches/wraps, stir fry, salad.

A pork roast in the slow cooker generally is the basis for 3-4 meals like pork carnitas, pulled pork chili, bbq pork sandwiches.

Ground turkey is usually cheaper than ground beef. I just use it in any ground beef recipe. It isn't too different. If I make ground turkey meatballs baking them works better than cooking them in the sauce.
Less lean ground beef is also cheaper. Meatloaf, meatballs, tacos, burgers, sloppy joes, casseroles, stir fry, soup.0 -
