Finding Balance

Hello, my name is Grace, and I've been struggling with weight loss and weight gain for my whole life. I've got a pot belly, and fat rolls, and a bad habit of overeating. Luckily, despite my undesirable weight, I am healthy. I'm not obese, I'm not diabetic, I don't have any heart problems, but I definitely don't want to get them anytime soon, and I want to be an even healthier, stronger me. I don't plan on doing any restrictive diets, like Keto, which I tried and felt horrible doing. I actually got a hemorrhoid from doing it, and I felt super weak or tired all the time. For now, I'm just going to reduce my sugar intake, and cut out fast food. I'm going to start taking frequent walks, not every day, but most days. I have two retail jobs, which sometimes can be a work out in their own, example A being my toned left arm and bat wing right arm. I am recently inspired by Jordan Shrinks on youtube, and she is my inspiration for trying again. If you have any tips for me, or life advice for this journey, I would love to hear your experiences.

Finding what works for you for the long haul is the best way to go about it! Sounds like you have a good idea and plan in mind so here's hoping it works for you. Best advice I can give is a) get a food scale and weigh everything b) make sure to do strength training and c) don't give up because of days that don't work out as planned. Keep pushing!

    food scale is good
weight loss is an up and down thing, not a straight line
    start with small achievable goals
all that is needed is a calorie deficit. and on occassion you won't, and that's ok too
exercise cardio or strength isn't required but is nice so we aren't skinny fat and increases our calorie allotment
