Turkey Wrap Disappointment

So, I wanted a turkey wrap for lunch. But if I wanted my end of day treat AND the dinner I had planned, I was going to have to do some skimping somewhere.

What to do; what to do?

Oh well, the flour tortilla is too small for a wrap :/
I guess I will just fold it over.
Not enough calories for mayo :/
Oh well, the tomato slices will add some moisture.
Might as well warm the tortilla the way the package says.

Some turkey
Some fancy lettuces
Some tomato slices
A slightly crisp flour tortilla

DANG!!!
This is freaking awesome tasting!
I am definitely putting this on the repeat menu.
:);):pB)

I'm generally disappointed by turkey wraps.

try Xtreme Wellness high fiber tortillas at 50 cals each. They are my favorite tortilla now, even when I have space for regular tortillas. They are flexible and pretty strong; wraps don't flake or tear apart. They taste great; sometimes I eat one by itself. I am really amazed by them. I only tried them because I was in extreme low calorie mode at one point and was shocked at how good they are - taste and texture.

Nah... that's just getting started. Spinach, red onion, green pepper, pickled banana peppers, and 1 TB light mayo (35 calories).

Our family likes those too, but they are hard to find in our area :(

Off the subject of wraps, but we also love 150 calorie pasta (higher fiber, exact same taste), but I have to stock up because the only store that carries it is 45 minutes away, and I have friends that can't find it at all in their area. I wish the lower-calorie options were more readily available.

I second this. I avoided them for a long time because come on, it's a high fiber wrap. Translation: tree bark. But I eat at least one almost every day now. They're terrific.

It was meant to be tongue in cheek.

When I realized I didn't have the calories to have the wrap I wanted, I was disappointed and resigned to flavorless-ness.
I was quite pleasantly surprised at how tasty the result was.

Not helping with the calories, but the only things that belong in a turkey wrap in my opinion are turkey, bacon, lettuce, avocado, and tomato :yum:

Thus my initial disappointment. Glad I was open-minded in the end o:)

I just had quite the disappointing wrap myself.

    Tortilla
    Low Sodium Ham
    Cheddar Cheese
    Cream Buffalo Spread

    It was gross! Never again.

Low sodium ham should not be a thing.

It wouldn't qualify as ham, at that point, would it?

I don't eat mammals anymore, but when I did I didn't even consider boneless ham to be ham. The ham is a body part and it has a bone in it. Another body part kinda sorta similar is not the same thing. Now I am a hypocrite because I eat turkey "ham".

Thanks for turning me on to these.
    I found them.
    Tried them.
    Loved them.
They are now my goto. (I bought all the varieties the store had.)

Do you know if they freeze well?

I make my lettuce wrap from thin cut sandwich meat, thin cut provolone wrapped in a good hearty lettuce leaf.
I then dip it in some sort of a balsamic dressing. Great lunch with a cup of vegetable soup...yummy!
