Getting back to healthy eating

Hello everyone,
I have just returned (with a new account) to MFP after a long long break. Obviously I piled the weight back on, plus even more. I now have 80lbs to lose as opposed to 20-30lbs.
My biggest problem is that I just dont want to eat anymore. I used to eat loads of things, mostly pasta, but I dont even eat that anymore. I dont want to cook at all. I seem to live off oily flat bread for lunch and even that im not enjoying anymore. I tend to grap the quickest easiest thing to eat, mainly chocolates.
I suppose that I have just lost my mojo with food and weight loss. It used to be easy. Now I just dont want to eat. I dont eat takeaways, or ready meals, or anything even more varied than cocopops, balti and cesar salads at the minute.
I also feel like im not in the right place to lose weight, mentally speaking, if you know what I mean? Im the biggest I have ever been, and I want to lose weight, I just cant seem to stick to it.
How do I find my mojo?

Maybe you should think less about "healthy eating", and remind yourself that weightloss comes from eating less, not eating any specific foods.4

Agreed!
My husband and I eat pizza every Monday for dinner, Tuesday - Friday are my days to cook dinner and Saturday/Sunday are always up in the air but usually I'll cook for one meal and the other meal will be fast food.
Days that I know my dinner will be high in calories (like Monday's), I will eat a light lunch so that I have the calories to eat dinner.
I work a desk job, so I'm not super active.
I try and walk at work as much as possible.
I park further away from places to get extra steps.
I run a bit with my dogs, but nothing crazy.
I've lost almost 20lbs and haven't had to give up a single food that I enjoy just because I'm trying to lose weight1 -

Hello, fellow returner I'm also back here, after deleting my old account-I just needed a break (and the forums are so darned addicting lol). I've only regained a few pounds but I totally get where you're coming at with the mental fatigue-I'm so tired of thinking about calories/food all the time and wish I could just be 'normal' and not have to worry about any of it anymore. After 6 years of this I'm just tired sigh....
I hope we both find our mojo again (hugs).2 -

Spot on!
Forget about changing what you're eating and start to track it. If you're eating cocoa pops, balti and caesar salads at the moment then keep eating them. Just weigh, measure and track them and make sure you're eating them in amounts that keeps you in a calorie deficit and you'll be on track to lose weight.
Start with that and go from there. If you find yourself starting to eat other foods then weigh, measure and track them too.
Keep it simple, keep it easy. G'luck0
