WEIGHT ON DRIVERS LICENSE...

Tomorrow I have to renew my drivers license - new picture - the whole shooting match. I'm fulling out my renewal application online. It is asking for my weight. Do I give them my current weight - 195, my goal weight - 160 or my "ultimate" goal weight of 148?

I'd go with current. Or maybe round down a *little*, like 190. It doesn't matter much. Who even sees it?0

Current, or split the difference, 180 or the lowest weight within the last 12 months you feel comfortable about putting down.0

I'm down 12lbs in 2 months, so I figure by the time I get my DL back in 3-4 weeks, I will be down to 185-190.
Maybe I will go with 180.4 -

My state puts height, weight, and eye color as well. Every time, I just give them current weight rounded to the nearest 5 lbs.0

Current weight. You've still got a ways to go until you reach your goal. For me, one "reward" (if the DMV can be called a reward) was when I got to renew my license and put my 100 pounds lighter picture on it. I still have the side by side picture of my old and new licenses somewhere.1

As a LEO, does your state show weight and would you question someone with a weight of 300 lbs on their DL who are 200 lbs? Assume they've done something stupid (like 10mph over the limit) and not something completely repulsive (like I know you deal with).
How would you or you fellow LEO's deal with that.

and would you question someone with a weight of 300 lbs on their DL who are 200 lbs? - No, but I have written the weight on the ticket I wrote them as what I think it really is. For example, if your DL says 180, and you look like 280, I'd enter 280 on the citation.

I think it depends on the province. I don't have one on mine and I live in NS and just got it renewed.0 -
I would use current weight. You'll have the chance to update it to your goal weight once you reach it and the time comes for renewal.0

Trying to reply earlier crashed my computer!!!! Fortunately I don't have to renew my licence for another 17 months. Were there a weight requirement, I'm 100 lb down on where I was, (taken years) from when I changed adress, health issues probably improveing. I still hope it is not a "new" requirement in the UK.0

Mine doesn't list the weight, says I am 2" taller and have brown hair. I vaguely resemble the picture. It's crazy easy to renew here if you don't have any tickets and the licenses last a long time. This one expires when I turn 66 and the last time I had to go in I was in my late 40s.0

mine had my high school weight for a long time, I just never bothered to update. Then I updated to my current weight at the time, which is close to my current weight now. I would stick to your current weight, maybe a little lower 185?

They want current weight. Otherwise your license would say "eventual weight" on it instead of just "weight" lol
Although the people at registries always took a lot of liberties with my weight. You could tell they hated asking just as much as I hated telling.1 -

I actually have issues with my passport when I travel because I was 40+ Lbs heavier in my passport picture and it's very noticeable. I've never been denied, but they certainly take their time and typically ask me if I lost weight, when, and how much and dig into other details like that. On occasion I've also had to provide additional ID.
When I went to Tanzania over the holidays I had to get a visa when we landed...that took forever.
I'm also wearing glasses in my passport photo and I typically wear contacts...didn't back then. I think it expires next year, so I can finally get a new one and stop the madness at customs and TSA.1 -

Last time I updated my weight on my license, I told the guy to put 127 (the middle of my current maintenance range).
He was like, "eh, I'm gonna put 125".

I just checked and they stopped putting it on licenses in my state at some point recently. I renewed in March and it is not listed any more. They still ask for it at renewal, but they only list height and eye color on the actual license now.
What's even more interesting is that it IS printed on my hunting & fishing licenses. When I buy those, they never ask for me to give an update, so it is about 30 lbs. higher. I'm going to go online and change it so that next time it prints with my weight as of today (so maybe 10-20 lbs. too high when I buy next year's).

So for the person that weighs 245 when they get home they have a ticket and the thought they look like they are 280lbs. Double Whammy!
