This should not be a complaint. Whenever I'm at work and I tell my patients I don't want any goodies they insist on giving me some. I say no I'm losing weight and they say ok and put whatever on my plate, lol. I now must hide it so I can put the food back. Anyone else have issues like this or maybe I'm just fussing over nothing.

I work with disabled elderly clients in their homes. They are constantly offering me candies, cakes, brownies, cookies, soda, etc. I realize how happy it makes them to share their goodies with me so I accept and have to “pretend” to eat the sweets and hide and dispose of them later, or say I’m saving it for dessert when I get home or something. I don’t think they are being malicious and they really don’t understand about my weight issues so I don’t even mention that. Sometimes I think that sharing is a way to give themselves “permission” to eat the treat because many view eating as a social activity and if you don’t partake then they feel awkward. You can politely decline over and over but if they keep insisting and you don’t want to hurt their feelings, you gotta get creative :D

YES. I second this. In the upcoming month I have to be on full prep for a competition and of course, EVERY WEEKEND we have an event of some sort - whether it be a graduation, wedding or family outing. I know I'm going to have a hard enough time avoiding alcohol (I could pre-log but I know I'll let myself get off track and have "one more" and then go off my meal plan as the night goes on) so I plan on bringing meal prep containers and snacks, also pre-log. But I KNOW my friends and family will be pushing me to eat all the food, drink all the drinks, etc. Just aggravating because I wish they knew already that it's hard enough to avoid just taking "a bite" and them nagging makes it almost unavoidable.
