Should your dairy be open to your friends for viewing? My eating is all over the place since I just started. I'm not making my goals and all that, I'm not sure I'm ready. So, is everyone's dairy typically open?

Mine is, a lot of people's aren't. If you're just starting and could use advice, then let friends see it and ask for suggestions.
I am no longer bothered by anyone who nitpicks my eating habits, it's my body and my eating habits are working just fine for me.2 -
That’s your decision. Personally I don’t see why people want to know what I’m eating. And the only time I’ll look at other diaries is if it’s for someone who needs help to lose weight in order to find inaccuracies in their logging.3

Mine is open. My profile and pic are genuine. My comments are sincere and often personal. I'm trying to be real with myself and everyone else here and everywhere. (And we understand you mean your diary, not dairy -- that made me chuckle)2

Mine is open to friends. I like to look at other people's diaries as I find it a useful way to get new meal ideas - doesn't seem fair for me to do that if others can't look at mine. It is also useful if your friends can comment on your menus if and when you are struggling. Personally I would only comment on the content of others' diaries if asked (other than to say 'that meal looked yummy').0

^this.
I've spent a very very long time feeling ashamed and hiding my body and my eating habits. That way, it was easier to lie to myself. I'm completely transparent here, it's a safe zone. Anyone can look at my diary and comment on it if they please. I will just refer them to the blunt disclaimer on my profile if they choose to get judgy.
The bottom line is, whether you open your diary or not is your choice. No one has a right to judge what or how much you consume unless you ask for their help.1 -
Mine is public because I genuinely don’t mind if people look at what it eat. I have several friends and family members who prefer the private setting.0

Mines open. I am open to others opinions on my diet.0
