I was just wondering if there were any other fellow Zumba instructors out there and if they could give me some Pros and cons about doing this as a side job! I Really love Zumba and do it about 6 days a week, sometimes even twice a day because it truly inspires me . Something about the music and the fact that its done wonders for my body really makes me think i could succeed in inspiring others.
thanks guys!

I talk to my Zumba instructor regularly, and I would have to say that some downsides would be not really having a secure job until you get a class set. Not really having a set place to work (ie: you have to find and rent a room, sign up with a gym, etc), and waiting until you have enough people for it to be a full class, and also never really getting to take vacations. If you don't do a gym or a dance company, there's really no one to 'fill-in' and even then if you DO get someone to fill in, you're losing money from it.
Pros: Your own schedule, doing something you love, helping others, always being in shape, Zumba conferences.
As a part time job, I think it would be a lot of fun!!0 -

I own my own Art business, so I do contracted mural jobs for companies and what not, I love my job but often times I live off of commission regularly, I get maybe 6 or 7 jobs a year which is pretty good for a muralist, my problem is that in the meantime between jobs I have absolutely nothing to do! I mean yea I paint and sell some art here and there, but its like im so bored! I dont think i could do a full time job as an instructor, but deff part timeAnd a zumba conference?! Hell ya!!!

Sounds like it may be perfect for you then! I'd love to hear from some other official Zumba instructors too, because I'm curious on their opinions about it.
Such a great topic!
(And congrats on the 100 lbs lost! Way to freaking GO!)0 -
Sounds like something you'll love, give it a try. It only hurts if you don't.0
