Peanut sprouts calorie

Last night, over the course of the evening, I was eating a bag of 500g fresh fully sprouted peanuts, convinced it was a fine low calorie snack.
The only entry I can in the food database (despite thorough searching) is this

In which case that bag should have contained almost 3000 calories......
Can this really be correct? Or are there other, more correct entries, that I just cant find?

I'm not familiar with sprouted peanuts, but what happens during the sprouting process that you feel would lower the calories in them? Nuts are fairly high in calories.
ETA: I found a nutritional label for sprouted almonds: 160 calories/28g, which is about the same as non sprouted almonds.1 -
I didnt expect the calories to magically disappear during sprouting, but It isnt 500g of peanuts that is sprouted, but instead 500g after sprouting. So I assumed that would include a lot of water weight, hence significantly less calories than the same weight in "normal" peanuts, but clearly I was wrong.
When soaking in water to start sprouting, I guess they didnt absorb nearly as much water as I had thought.

I'm having a difficult time finding peanuts specifically, but it doesn't seem to change it significantly (based on the almond data). On the plus side, now you know. There were several items I was surprised by when I first started looking at calories in foods. In fact there's a thread around here about the shock of how calorific some foods are, so it's not just you. I'll post a link, if I can find it.0

I had no idea that sprouted peanuts were a thing. You learn so much here.
Anyway, the part of the peanut that we eat is a seed. Peanuts are technically legumes, so it makes sense to me that someone might eat peanut sprouts as they do bean sprouts. All seeds are packed with nutrients that a little plant needs, and they're very nutrient dense for us too.
My guess (from my biology major, over a decade ago) is that if your sprouts are peanut + sprout, then yeah, they're a lot of calories. If they are just the sprout part without the peanut, they're probably fewer calories, as you wouldn't be eating the nutrients in the seed that the sprout hadn't used yet. 500 grams of just peanuts (not sprouted) would be about 3000 calories, so my guess is that 500 grams of peanuts + their sprouts wouldn't be much under that. Someone who has studied biology in this decade can probably tell me how far off I am on all of this.

From information I could find, it seems like 500g of sprouted peanuts would be 3,000 calories approx. I guess the "sprouted" part is very light, so your still looking at a similar amount of peanuts for that weight.0

Yep. Nuts are one of those things that people end up eliminating much of when they start logging for weight loss. Oh yeah, they are very high in calories, so yep, that calorie count seems about right. Granola is the other thing that can get scary on the calories.0
