Low blood sugar from too much exercise?

I have been exercising a lot lately (cardio and strength training 4-5 days a week) and have been feeling a bit fatigued the past couple of days. I try to keep on top of my protein intake, but I think I might be getting low blood sugar because of all the exercise. How can I consume more sugar while staying within my calorie budget?

I try to eat lower calorie fruits and carbs in these instances, but still feel tired afterwards. Any advice or snack ideas?

I wouldn't start with sugar. It is more likely the heat or dehydration that is making you feel the drag effect. Don't assume it is sugar unless you tested it.

I get low blood sugar some times, but not necessarily from exercise. I usually eat protein to help with it. Protein usually keeps me from crashing later. Are you sure you are experiencing hypoglycemia and not just fatigue from more exercise? When my blood sugar is low, I feel extremely lightheaded as if I'm going to pass out and weak and shaky, but I don't feel what I would describe as fatigue.

Been there. I've also found that not getting enough carbs at night results in having a harder time getting out of bed the next morning... on heavy workout days and during dinner I try to include more carbs. If this means deviating from MFP's carb macros, I'll still do it.
