Hey everyone,

I'm on a weight-loss journey right now. Currently 237, looking to reach 200 pounds. I'm at the gym 4-5 times a week for 30-60 minutes. My workouts consist of 95% strength training and 5% Cardio. I have a calorie goal of 1850/day.

I drink a protein shake after each workout to help build muscle and to get my protein intake higher. I drink 3L of water a day.

I was told taking a CLA pill will help in my weight loss and promote muscle building and fat burning. I just purchased the allmax brand and will be taking 2 pills a day.

What are your thoughts on CLA or any general weight loss recommendation?

Thank You

...However, human studies on CLA are very unreliable and the overall effects seen with CLA are not overly potent as well as sometimes contradicting. CLA is a good research standard to investigated fatty acids and the PPAR system, but its usage as a supplement for personal goals is quite lacklustre.

CLA is a joke. It’s almost as false as CNN.....lol. It won’t do anything honestly. Stick to calorie deficit, the proven method of weight loss.

It’ll help your wallet become lighter but not your body.

There are no magic pills/drinks/elixirs/etc. Eat less calories than you burn. Work out if you want to be stronger/healthier/in better shape.
