Among older adults enrolled in a behavioral weight loss program, functional brain magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) data indicated that "there exists a consistent pattern of connectivity which correctly predicts success with weight loss." These connectivity patterns "are associated with behavior emergence, self-regulation, body awareness, and the sensory features of food."

Interesting. I wish more than the abstract was accessible.

And I would be grateful for an explanation of what "connectivity patterns" and "behavior emergence" means in this context.

This is interesting. Has anyone tried NOOM coach? They seem to be based on this type of functional behavior change.
