Looking for suggestions with knee issue (from TKR)

I understand the whole "not a Doctor" thing. I don't have an Attorney on retainer ready to pounce....

That said, I'm just looking for suggestions, maybe someone who had a similar issue, or someone who knows something that might help.

Total replacement 9 years ago, did PT as well as used the extension machine 2X. Have a knee full of scar tissue (from previous surgeries, which I was told this after replacement). I've fallen a couple times, and am sure I've broken some of it up in the process as I've noticed a bit of improvement on the amount I can bend the knee.

Question here is, if I set on the picnic table, knees on the edge, feet dangling, and then do an extension of both knees, my "good" knee will fully extend straight out, but the "bad" one will lack about 6" of matching the extension height.

I'm waiting to afford a bench with leg extensions, so I can give this leg extra attention (since the quads are severely weaker/smaller), but not sure it will benefit.

Anything I can do for range of motion?

Thanks!

Will it go to full extension at rest(sitting/resting on floor/bed/recliner)?

IF you can tolerate squats, I'd try that over leg extensions. Even just BW.

Yes, though I didn't start-out that way. I carry a lot of constant pain in it (knee), so I used to sleep with a pillow under it, keeping it bent. I stopped doing that about a year ago. So Yeah, I can set on the floor and have it straightened-out.

I am currently doing 2 sets of 20 rep no weight squats (to about 90*), and today I added 1x8 with a 45lb bar. I also realized today my bench is the perfect height to squat over as a safety (since I'm using little to no weight).

    Thanks for the advice!
