i’m assuming you’re using diet and exercise to lose weight, so find ways to make it more enjoyable! find an exercise you enjoy doing, and keep doing it! find recipes to cook healthy food that you still like to eat! healthy lifestyle doesn’t have to mean not fun! remember, it’s small lifestyle changes that will really make a difference. best of luck to you!0

I would do something completely different (and I did): Forget about "motivation", motivation is your desire for something and the drive to persue it. Figure out what it takes to lose weight, what you need to do, and what you don't have to do. Then figure out how you can do it. Then stop trying, and start doing.2 -
The biggest results often come from the smallest of changes. Motivation is fleeting, build better habits slowly over time and you won't need it, it becomes second nature.
Some of the habits I have changed that have helped me in my weight loss process (35lbs down and huge body composition changes):- Stopped using free-poured cooking oil and switched to 1 cal oil sprays - this saves me hundreds of calories per week when frying/roasting foods, I still eat the same foods and they taste mostly the same.
- Started weighing out portions of things like cereal, rice, pasta, potatoes, nuts, etc - I had absolutely no idea what a proper portion looked like and was often eating double or triple what I should be. Now I have a much better idea and can guesstimate portion sizes better when not weighing.
- Taking more control over snacks, I am a self-confessed snacker, I have no intention of changing that because it can fit my calorie allowance and helps me to meet my macros. Rather than snacking on big bags of crisps and large chocolate bars a couple of times per week, I have a snack basket which I keep protein bars, individual snack packs and pre-portioned snacks.
Find some small changes you can make to sustain your calorie deficit long term.
You might find you still have a day where you go a bit crazy and go over your calorie allowance, and that's ok, don't take that as a defeat, log it all, own it and get back to normal the next day.2 -
Good call - and I want to win the lottery however I don't have the motivation to buy a ticket. Wanting something isn't enough, when you are ready to put in the effort there will be plenty of people here to support you. It is also good to have someone at home / work / social friend to do it with so you motivate each other (or one drags the other along)1
