Hey ya'll! Currently on prep for a meet on 7/14 (yes, I know as a PL you don't have to prep as hard as bikini competitors but I'm taking it as a challenge to get to the lower weight class AND get abs, all while winning my weight class). June is probably the most jam-packed month event wise so it's really the least ideal for staying on a strict prep like I am. Usually I let myself have free days, but not now. I always have liked a challenge though.

The food aspect is easy. Every Friday I meal prep all meals and snacks for Friday through Sunday so that I have no excuse to eat off of plan. I make sure I hit macros for the day while using up as little calories as possible (usually like to leave 200-300 for "play") and then eat whatever (I bring my food scale, so I can log as accurately as possible though) to fill in the gaps. Food is easy. However this weekend, there will be alcohol at a graduation party and I just know I'll be tempted to have a drink..or 5.

My plan is to bring flavored seltzer and Mio...which I love anyway...and add vodka to the mix if I must have a drink. I have two questions - when pre-logging, how much vodka is actually supposed to be in a mixed drink? 1 oz.?

Second question...how do you bikini competitors on prep stay on track while out socializing with friends? Would love to make a thread for everyone to share tips and advice!

I've prepped with meal plans set by a coach and with macros set by a coach. In both circumstances I'd rarely eat out due to inaccuracies in logging.

When I had a set meal plan I took my own food, or didn't eat. If it was a "cheat meal", it would be planned meticulously (we had to go where I chose because I wasn't wasting my cheat meal)

When I was doing macros I also took my own food a lot of the time, or try and plan somewhere where I could track easily. Closer to comps eating out was rare.

I try to socialise away from food when prepping. My friends are used to me saying no and it doesn't phase them, or they try and accommodate what I'm doing

There definitely wasn't drinking involved... That doesn't phase me as I'm not a big drinker anyway
