Not very active?

Hello
Apologies if this has been answered but couldn't see anything when I searched. What does not very active mean? I'm currently not exercising. But plan to restart in three weeks once CIM module is done. I commute to London which takes 2hrs and then only 10min walk to work from tube. Barely doing anything except quick walk at lunch time if I have time.
Help appreciated!

MFP’s activity levels don’t include exercise. Not very active (or sedentary, as it used to be called) is generally used for someone who has a desk job and gets under 5000 steps a day doing general activity.1

Completely irrelevant to your activity setting, that's why the goal set up questions only ask you about job and lifestyle.
Building more activity into your routine is a great habit, it could be as simple as getting off the tube one stop earlier, taking stairs instead of lifts etc. etc.0 -
Thanks for the guidance. I think I achieve closer to 7000-8000 steps. But haven't monitored it for a while.0

If you have a pedometer this is a basic rundown of activity level.
Sedentary is less than 5,000 steps per day.
Low active is 5,000 to 7,499 steps per day.
Somewhat active is 7,500 to 9,999 steps per day.
Active is more than 10,000 steps per day.
Highly active is more than 12,500
This is without added workouts.1
