Ketones plus alchocol

My poor liver. I had a few drinks last night, gin and tequila nothing else.
I wanted to see how my Ketone levels would be affected so I did a before and after test. Before drinking I was at 1.5 mmol/L and in the morning I had 4.5mmol/L. Could it be that the alcohol increased liver enzyme activity also produced more ketones?

I am not sure of this, but I think part of it has to do with liver having to metabolize the alcohol. Normally it is the liver's jump to create more glucose in the early morning hours, but it was busy handling the alcohol instead. Ketones might have gone up to compensate.
Also, with lower electrolytes it is easier to get dehydrated from the alcohol so ketones were more concentrated in the blood or urine.2
