Hey all,

I've always sort of known I should be trying to lose some weight, but it really hit me just over a month ago when I stepped on the scale for the first time in years. I always thought I was overweight at 180 - but now I'm 209!

A few months ago I switched from my active job to my dream job - which keeps me sedentary during working hours.

I've been watching calories over the last month; going from around 2750 to 1700 a day. My stomach is looking less "balloonish", but definitely more needs to go. Unfortunately I haven't even lost a pound.

Of the four weeks I've been watching my calories; I've been biking home from work twice a week (15km), and week 3/4 hitting the gym 3-4 times a week (burning at least 400 calories each time and NOT food rewarding myself).

Anyone else want to tell me about their slow start that ended in losing weight? I'm telling myself I'm losing fat and gaining muscle, but can't tell at the moment for sure..

Feel free to add me if you'd like.
