College Problems....

My college has a children's program & i'm a teacher in one of the preschool classrooms. I have been since november & now that we are entering the fall semester i'm nervous about staying on track. During the summer i always made a stop at the cafeteria or vending machines due to the fact that i only received 2 10min breaks instead of a 30mim lunch. Now that i will be working more hours & taking classes, i worry that my bad eating habits will creep their way back in...i will literally be on campus all day!

Will be trying my hardest to stay motivated...i go back to work tomorrow (to help set up my classroom) & begin the semester on the 12th....wish me luck!

Bring snacks with you. Then you won't have to stop at the vending machines. If you're missing lunch and you're on a meal plan, ask the cafeteria if they do brown bag lunches. Many of them do. If that's an option, ask them what's in it, and you can probably also customize it to some degree - veggies and fruit instead of chips.

Being on campus is the best thing that can happen to you. That means you can plan your own nutrition every day. Pack a nice bag with fruits, vegies, and good proteins. Get a nice lunch box cooler that keeps everything cold. You can eat chicken and steak and nice fruits and vegies in the10 min you have to eat.

Don't use the time limit as your excuse. Own it.

    Good luck!!!!!!!
