Sudden weight gain

Hi everyone, I have a question. So for a while, I was maintaining on 2300 kcal. I worked out 4 times a week (half weights half cardio) for an hour. My stats were 170 cm and 56 kgs (approx 5'7 and approx 123.4 lbs). However, suddenly my weight went up to 58 kgs (127.9 lbs). I don't really understand why. I didn't eat more than before, maybe my workouts were a little bit less intense, but not too much I thought. By the way, I am not trying to say that my weight now is by any means too heavy, I just feel less comfortable this way. I'd rather go back to 55/56 kgs. I am now eating about 2100 kcals, but I can't seem to lose the weight. However, I do notice more muscles on me so maybe it's muscle weight? I'm not really familiar with the weightlifting scene, but I think that I actually should be happy right? I mean, I am lifting to get stronger because before I had 'dinosaur arms' (skinny with no definition), but now I have really nice shoulders and arms with way more definition. I think that 2100 might not even be that much for me, but I'm a bit scared to go up to 2300 again. I find it difficult to just follow my hunger and listen to my body, because I have very bad irritable bowel syndrome, so I often cannot sense when I'm hungry do to pain in my abdomen. I have been to the doctor to rule out Crohn's disease or any other more serious illnesses, but they found nothing. I will probably be visiting a dietrician soon to rule out any food intolerance.

how long has your weight been at the higher amount?
maintenance should be a range not a single number, i would be surprised if you have been 56kg every single time you have weighed yourself while in maintenance? how long were you eating 2300 cals? how long have you been eating 2100?5 -
2300 for I think about 6 months. 2100 for about 1 month. My weight has been this high for about 2 months now. And before I actually really weighed between 55.9 and 56.4 every day.0

I had luck loosing unexplained weight by upping my protein and dropping my carbs while maintaining the same calories and exercise. I’d been struggling with it for months but when I switched up the weight fell right off. Carbs tend to encourage you body to retain water, especially if you’re gaining muscle.0

Thanks for the tip! I tend to eat a lot of fruit, not that much pasta/rice/bread. So maybe I'll try that0
