Hi I'm Judi. I'm just now starting back on my diet and exercise program. I'm a week late with getting started. My goal is to get to the gym at least three times a week for an hour of exercise on the treadmill. I have to start slow because of current back and hip issues. But anything is better than nothing.

Challenge for me this week: It's Canada Day this weekend so I don't want to add weight by drinking too much...!1 -
I just finished the spring challenge (20 weeks to summer), so I'll try this challenge next.
My fitness program during the summer is mostly staying active bicycling, playing Ultimate, rowing, paddling, diving, gardening, and..... I don't get to the gym much in the late spring or summer. Once summer is over, I do a variety of gym workouts. For cardio I either swim, run on a treadmill, hop on a bicycle-to-nowhere, or use an elliptical. I take a few fitness classes if they fit my schedule. For resistance work, I had been mostly using machines. I hired a trainer to help me develop a new workout. It includes giant sets of 12 exercises; he wants me in and out of the gym in an hour. His new workout kicks my butt. It's a bunch of body weight exercises with some free weights and machines thrown in.
I've lost about 20 pounds since February, and I'm just a few pounds from my goal. I'm considering just telling MFP that I actually met my goal and set it for maintenance calories at my goal weight. I may end up heavier if I increase my lean mass, and that's ok.
